1 July- 20 July 2008

Hey all,

2nd Month of Winter, Thank Goodness it is not so bad in DBN SA compared to how it can be in the OFS or Johannesburg with temperatures like -5 for e.g., you can still run around here in a light jacket. It is Mid July and the wind blowing gales, so it is even colder, everyone is huddled under blankets or in front of heaters
.

“The Happening” with Mark Wahlberg it was a movie that made you think of what could happen on this planet if we continue to abuse it. It was bordering on crazy though with all the people killing themselves throughout the movie. “Young Guns” was with “Kiefer Sutherland, Emilio Estevez, Charlie Sheen & Lou Diamond Phillips. Watched “Stirs of Echoes” with Kevin Bacon, had never heard of it but saw that it was made in 1999. It was a good movie (Thriller), filled with intrigue, action and nail-biting suspense. “The Inside” with Ryan Philippe & Robert Sean Leonard was also a thriller about a patient that was in a car accident that had lost his memory and what happens when he starts to regain his memory, full of action and suspense.
“Blade Trinity” with Wesley Snipes, Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds, was the last of the trilogy of Blade.

"3 QUESTONS"
There was a young man who went overseas to study for quite a long time. When he returned, he asked his parents to find him a religious scholar or Any expert who could answer his 3 Questions.
Finally, his parents were able to find a scholar.
Young man:Who are you? Can you answer my questions?
Scholar:I am one of Lord's believers and I will try to answer your questions.
Young man:Are you sure? A lot of Professors and experts were not able to answer my questions.
Scholar:I will try my best.
Young Man: I have 3 questions:1. Does God exist? If so, show me His shape.2. What is fate? 3. If Devil was created from the fire, why at the end he will be thrown to hell that is also created from fire. It certainly will not hurt him at all, since Devil and the hell were created from fire. Did God not think of it this far? Suddenly, the Scholar slapped the young man's face very hard.
Young Man (feeling pain):Why do you get angry at me?
Scholar:I am not angry. The slap is my answer to your three questions.
Young Man:I really don't understand.
Scholar:How do you feel after I slapped you?
Young Man:Of course, I felt the pain.
Scholar:So do you believe that pain exists?
Young Man:Yes.
Scholar:Show me the shape of the pain!
Young Man:I cannot.
Scholar:That is my first answer. All of us feel God's existence without being able to see His shape... Last night, did you dream that you will be slapped by me?
Young Man:No.
Scholar:Did you ever think that you will get a slap from me, today?
Young Man:No.
Scholar:That is fate my second answer........My hand that I used to slap you, what is it created from?
Young Man:It is created from flesh.
Scholar:How about your face, what is it created from?
Young Man:Flesh.
Scholar:How do you feel after I slapped you?
Young Man:In pain.
Scholar:That's it. this is my third answer, Even though Devil and hell were createdfrom the fire, if God wants, the hell will become a very painful place for the Devil

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL EMPLOYEES - New Policy: Effective from 1 August 2008
Dress Code It is advised that you come to work dressed according to your salary. If we see you wearing Prada shoes and carrying a Gucci bag, we assume you are doing well financially and therefore do not need a raise. If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better, so that you buy nicer clothes, and therefore you do not need a raise. If you dress just right, you are right where you need to be and therefore you do not need a raise.
Sick Days We will no longer accept a doctors statement as proof of sickness. If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.

Annual Leave Days
Each employee will receive 104 Annual Leave days a year. They are called Saturday & Sunday.

Bereavement Leave
This is no excuse for missing work. There is nothing you can do for dead friends, relatives or co-workers. Every effort should be made to have non-employees attend to the arrangements. In rare cases where employee involvement is necessary, the funeral should be scheduled in the late afternoon. We will be glad to allow you to work through your lunch hour and subsequently leave one hour early.

Toilet Use
Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilet. There is now a strict three-minute time limit in the stalls. At the end of three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper roll will retract, the stall door will open, and a picture will be taken. After your second offence, your picture will be posted on the company bulletin board under the Chronic offenders category. Anyone caught smiling in the picture will be sanctioned under the company’s mental health policy.
Lunch Break
Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch, as they need to eat more, so that they can look healthy. Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure. Chubby people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that’s all the time needed to drink a Slim-Fast.

Thank you for your loyalty to our company. We are here to provide a positive employment experience. Therefore, all questions, comments, concerns, complaints, frustrations, irritations, aggravations, insinuations, allegations, accusations, contemplation’s, consternation and input should be directed elsewhere.

Marianne Williamson is the author of A Return to Love.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.' We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

The film Coach Carter includes a variation of this quote: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

“The friendship doubles the joys and anxieties divided in half." Sir Francis Bacon

"I love you for love and not to be loved, because nothing place as much as I see you happy". Edmund Burke

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke
